  The Smart Regeneration System controls the regenerative braking automatically according to the road gradient and driving condition of the vehicle in front.
- Brake system
  This vehicle is equipped with various brakes and functions to stop the vehicle or keep it stationary.
  - Power brakes
  - High Performance Brake
    As this vehicle is equipped with the High Performance Brake (large diameter brakes for enhanced braking performance), noise such as a squeal, squeak or groan is generated while braking. This is normal and the friction may create circle patterns on the disc surface. This is also a normal situation which does not affect braking performance.
  - Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)
    - Applying the parking brake
    - Releasing the parking brake with Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) switch
    - Automatic release of Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)
    - EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) may be automatically applied when:
    - System warning
    - EPB malfunction indicator
      This warning light appears if the EV button is changed to the ON position and goes off in approximately 3 seconds if the system is operating normally.
