Deceleration assist
If the driver does not respond in forewarning warning, an Emergency Stop will be initiated. The vehicle will automatically engage steering and deceleration assistance to safely bring the car to stop. This will be alerted by warning messages, warning sounds, hazard warning flasher, and steering wheel vibrations.
Warning message: Take control of the vehicle immediately. Vehicle is stopping.
During forewarning and Deceleration Assist, the forewarning and emergency stop will be deactivated in the following cases:
-
When the driver keeps their eyes on the road (if equipped) and operates the steering wheel.
-
When Smart Cruise Control is temporarily deactivated or turned off.
-
When Lane Keeping Assist is turned off.
When Emergency Stop operates, distance of Smart Cruise Control will set and displayed by Distance 4. If Emergency Stop stops, it will return to preset.
