Auto Defogging System (ADS)

The Auto Defogging System (ADS) reduces the probability of fogging up the inside of the windscreen by automatically sensing the moisture inside the windscreen.

Operation

Select Setup > Vehicle > Climate > Defog/Defrost options > Auto Defog from the Settings menu.

The indicator illuminates when the the auto defogging system senses the moisture on the inside of the windscreen and operates.

  • Outside air position

  • Operating the air conditioning

  • Fan speed will increase.

  • Mode will change to defrost to direct airflow to the windscreen.

Operating condition(s)

  • The Auto Defogging System operates when the heater or air conditioning is on.

  • High amount of humidity is detected in the vehicle

To cancel or reset the Auto Defogging System

Operation

  • Press the defroster button for 3 seconds.

  • The defrost button indicator blinks 3 times when the auto defogging system is cancelled and 6 times when it is reset.

Operating condition(s)

  • The vehicle is ON position.

NOTE

  • To maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the Auto Defogging System, do not select Recirculation mode whilst the system is operating.

  • Do not remove the sensor cover located on the upper end of the driver side windscreen glass. Damage to system parts could occur and may not be covered by your vehicle warranty.

  • If the battery (12V) is discharged or disconnected, Auto dehumidify settings will be reset. Readjust the settings to turning Auto dehumidify option ON or OFF. For detailed information, refer to Navigation Quick Reference Guide.
