Driver's seat belt warning
As a reminder to the driver, the seat belt warning light will appear for approximately 6 seconds each time the EV button is in ON regardless of belt fastening.
If the driver continues not to fasten the seat belt, the warning light will stay on and the warning chime will sound for approximately 6 seconds until the belt is fastened each time the EV button is in ON. This will happen every time the EV button is in ON.
If a driver continues not to fasten the seat belt and drives 6 mph (9 km/h) or more but less than 12 mph (20 km/h), the warning light will stay on. If a driver unfastens the seat belt while driving below 12 mph (20 km/h), the warning light will stay on.
If a driver continues not to fasten the seat belt while driving over 12 mph (20 km/h), the seat belt warning chime will sound for approximately 100 seconds and the corresponding warning light will blink.
