As a reminder to the front passenger, the seat belt warning light will appear for approximately 6 seconds each time the EV button is in ON regardless of belt fastening. If the front passenger continues not to fasten the seat belt, the warning light will stay on until the belt is fastened each time EV button is in ON.

If a front passenger continues not to fasten the seat belt and the vehicle is driven 6 mph (9 km/h) or more but less than 12 mph (20 km/h), the warning light will stay on.

If a front passenger unfastens the seat belt while the vehicle is driven below 12 mph (20 km/h), the warning light will stay on.

If a front passenger continues not to fasten the seat belt while the vehicle is driven over 12 mph (20 km/h), the seat belt warning chime will sound for approximately 100 seconds and the corresponding warning light will blink.
