Battery information
The vehicle is composed of a high voltage battery that drives the motor, air conditioner, and charges an auxiliary battery (12 V) that drives all other 12 V systems.
The auxiliary battery is automatically charged when the vehicle is in POWER ON, DRIVE READY mode or the high voltage battery is being charged.
NOTE
What does regenerative braking do?
When decelerating, the regenerative braking system uses the electric motor to recapture kinetic energy and convert it to electrical energy, charging the high voltage battery.
