Storing the AC Charging Cable

The front trunk can be used to store the AC charging cable.
If the charging cable is dirty, clean it with a soft cloth soaked in a 3% neutral detergent solution, then wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Ensure it is fully dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Avoid getting water on the charging connector and plug.
-
Do not modify or disassemble the charging cable as it poses a risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.
-
Always keep the charging connector and plug dry and clean. Store the charging cable without any moisture.
-
If there are any foreign objects or dust inside the charging connector or plug, remove them with an air gun.
-
Do not charge the vehicle if the charging connector or plug is damaged, corroded, rusty, or feels loose when connected. In this case, we recommend that you visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
