Smart Regeneration System Plus

  • If you purchase the Smart Regeneration System Plus through the Kia Connect Store, the map-linked smart regeneration function will operate in the following additional situations.

  • It helps the driver drive safely by adjusting the amount of regenerative braking for driving situations such as curved roads, and intersections through linkage with navigation information. You can select/deactivate it in the infotainment system's Electric Vehicle > Smart Regeneration > Link to Navigation Route.

Operating Conditions

  • When there is a curved road ahead
  • When turning left or right at an intersection
  • When approaching a roundabout

You can select/deactivate the additional functions of the Smart Regeneration System Plus in the infotainment system's Electric Vehicle > Smart Regeneration > Link to Navigation Route.

Navigation-based speed control

  • In the AUTO stage, the speed is automatically adjusted using navigation information.
  • Navigation-based speed control provides more accurate information when a destination is set. If a destination is not set, some functions may not work.
  • The automatic deceleration function operates in the following situations:
    • When turning left/right at an intersection, it decelerates to an appropriate speed.
    • The automatic deceleration function for speed cameras only works in Korea.
    • It decelerates to an appropriate speed on sharp curves.
    • When the speed limit on a road is lowered (90 kph > 50 kph, etc.), it decelerates to the speed limit once.
    • The automatic deceleration function for changes in road speed limits only operate in the US and Europe.
    • It automatically decelerates to an appropriate speed just before entering a roundabout.
