Operating condition(s)

• As a reminder to the driver, the seat belt warning light will illuminate for approximately 6 seconds each time the ignition switch is moved to the ON position regardless of seat belt fastening.

• If the seat belt is not fastened when the ignition is moved to the ON position or if it is disconnected after the ignition switch is moved to the ON position, the seat belt warning light illuminates until the seat belt is fastened.

• If you start to drive without the seat belt fastened or you unfasten the seat belt and you drive under 20 km/h (12 mph), the corresponding warning light continues to illuminate until you fasten the seat belt.

• If you continue to drive without the seat belt fastened or you unfasten the seat belt and you drive over 20 km/h (12 mph), the seat belt warning chime sounds for about 100 seconds and the corresponding warning light blinks.
