Lane Keeping Assist settings

Lane Safety

With the engine on, select or deselect 'Driver Assistance → Lane Safety' from the Settings menu to set whether or not to use each function.

  • Assist: Lane Keeping Assist will automatically assist the driver's steering when lane departure is detected to help prevent the vehicle from moving out of its lane.

  • Warning Only: Lane Keeping Assist will warn the driver with an audible warning when lane departure is detected. The driver must steer the vehicle.

  • Off: Lane Keeping Assist will turn off. The indicator () light will turn off on the cluster.

WARNING
  • If 'Lane Departure Warning' is selected, steering is not assisted.

  • Lane Keeping Assist does not control the steering wheel when the vehicle is driven in the middle of the lane.

  • The driver should always be aware of the surroundings and steer the vehicle if 'Off' is selected.

Turning On/Off (Lane Safety button)

With the engine on, press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button () located on the steering wheel to turn on Lane Keeping Assist. When Lane Keeping Assist turns on, the grey or green () indicator light will appear on the cluster.

Press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button () again to turn off the function.

If the engine is restarted, Lane Keeping Assist will maintain the last setting.

Warning Methods

You can adjust the Warning Methods with the ignition switch or ENGINE START/ STOP button in the ON position.

  • Warning Volume : Select 'User Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Volume' on the LCD display or 'Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods → Warning volume' on the Infotainment system.

NOTICE
  • Ensure that warning sound you have set may apply to the warning volume of other driver assistance systems.

  • Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

  • The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle features and specifications.

  • Descriptions of each driver assistance system may be slightly different from the owner's manual after updating the software of your infotainment system. In this case, scan the QR code in the infotainment system manual to access the web manual for checking the changes.

  • Depending on your region or update, the menu may be displayed as Warning Methods.

  • If the engine is restarted, Warning Timing and Warning Volume will maintain the last setting.

  • If you change the Warning Volume, the Warning Volume of other Driver Assistance systems may change.

CAUTION
  • The setting of the Warning Timing and Warning Volume applies to all functions of Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.

  • Even though 'Normal' is selected for Warning Timing, if the front vehicle suddenly stops, the initial warning activation time may seem late.

  • Select 'Late' for Warning Timing when traffic is light and when driving speed is slow.
