Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist settings

Rear Cross-Traffic Safety

With the engine on, select 'Driver Assistance → Parking Safety → Rear Cross- Traffic Safety' from the Settings menu to turn on Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and deselect to turn off the function.

WARNING

When the engine is restarted, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist will automatically turn on. However, if 'Off' is selected after the engine is restarted, the driver should always be aware of the surroundings and drive safely.

NOTICE
  • Settings for Rear Cross-Traffic Safety system include Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.

  • If the engine is restarted, Warning Timing and Warning Volume will maintain the last setting.

Warning Timing

With the engine on, select 'Setting → Driver Assistance → Warning Timing' to change the Settings for Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. You can set the warning point to 'Normal' or 'Late'.

  • Normal: Use in a typical driving environment. Select 'Late' if the Warning Timing feels too sensitive.

  • Late: The Warning Timing will be a little late.

NOTICE

If you change the Warning Timing, the warning time of other Driver Assistance systems may change.

Warning Methods

You can adjust the Warning Methods with the ignition switch or ENGINE START/ STOP button in the ON position.

  • Warning Volume : Select 'User Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Volume' on the LCD display or 'Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods → Warning volume' on the Infotainment system.

NOTICE
  • Ensure that warning sound you have set may apply to the warning volume of other driver assistance systems.

  • Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

  • If not equipped with the navigation system, select User settingsDriver assistance to adjust the Warning Volume.

  • The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle features and specifications.

  • Descriptions of each driver assistance system may be slightly different from the owner's manual after updating the software of your infotainment system. In this case, scan the QR code in the infotainment system manual to access the web manual for checking the changes.

  • Depending on your region or update, the menu may be displayed as Warning Sound or Warning Methods.
