Lane Safety

A: Driver Assistance

  1. Driving Safety

With the vehicle on, select elect User Settings → Driver Assistance → Driving Safety on the instrument cluster, or select Setup → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Driving Safety on the Infotainment system.

  • Lane Safety: When lane departure is detected, the function assists with steer prevent leaving the lane, and if lane departure occurs, it alerts the driver with an audible sound and the steering wheel vibration (if equipped). If Lane safety is deselected, the yellow indicator light () will appear on the cluster.

WARNING

  • If turn off the vehicle and restarted, Lane Keeping Assist automatically turns on.

  • Lane Keeping Assist does not control the steering wheel when the vehicle is driven in the middle of the lane.

  • The driver should always be aware of the surroundings and steer the vehicle if Lane safety is deselected.

  • When the trailer connector is connected electrically, Lane Keeping Assist automatically turns off. In this case, you cannot get help from Lane Keeping Assist. Always drive with care. (if KIA genuine part equipped)

NOTICE

  • If the Lane Keeping Assist is turned off by press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button (), the Lane Safety is also deselected.

  • Except Europe/Australia/Russia

    Lane Keeping Assist function will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

Warning Methods

A: Driver Assistance

  1. Warning Methods

The Warning Methods can be set with the vehicle on. Select User Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods from the settings menu in the instrument cluster or Setup → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods from the settings menu in the infotainment system to change the following settings:

  • Warning Volume: Adjusts the volume of the warning sound.

  • Haptic Warning: Activate the steering wheel vibration warning (if equipped).

  • Driving Safety Priority: Lowers all other audio volumes when the Driving Safety system sounds a warning.

NOTICE

  • Ensure that Warning Methods you have set may apply to the Warning Methods of other driver assistance systems.

  • Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

  • The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle features and specifications.

  • The Warning Volume and Haptic Warning cannot be turned off at the same time. When one of the warning is turned off the other is activated.
