Opening the hood

Pull the release lever to unlatch the hood. The hood should pop open slightly.

Go to the front of the vehicle, raise the hood slightly, push the secondary hood release lever (1) to the left and lift the
hood (2).

Pull out the support rod.

Hold the hood opened with the support rod.

After opening the hood, the support rod must be inserted completely into the hole provided to keep the hood up and to prevent the hood from falling and possibly injuring someone.

If the engine is hot, grab the support rod by the area wrapped in rubber to prevent burns.
