Precautions
-
Do not use the Tyre Mobility Kit to repair punctures in the tyre sidewalls. This can result in an accident due to tyre failure.
-
Have your tyre repaired as soon as possible. The tyre may lose air pressure at any time after inflating with the Tyre Mobility Kit.
-
Do not use the TMK if a tyre is severely damaged by driving run flat or with insufficient air pressure. Only punctured areas located within the tread region of the tyre can be sealed using the TMK.
-
Do not use the Tyre sealant after the sealant has expired (i.e. past the expiration date on the sealant container). This can increase the risk of tyre failure.
-
Keep the sealant away from children.
-
Be careful not to get the sealant in your eyes or swallow it.
-
Do not leave your vehicle running in a poorly ventilated area for extended periods of time. Carbon monoxide poisoning and suffocation can occur.
-
Do not drive the vehicle if the tyre pressure is below 29 psi (200 kPa). This may cause accidents.
-
Do not operate the compressor for more than 10 minutes; it may cause overheating and damage.
-
The tyre inflation pressure must be inflated to the proper pressure (Refer to Tyres and wheels). If it is not, do not continue driving. Call for road side service or towing.
-
Before using the TMK, read the instructions attached to the sealant bottle carefully. Remove the speed limit label from the sealant bottle and attach it to a visible location to comply with the speed limit during driving.
-
When two or more tyres are flat, do not use the tyre mobility kit because the supported one sealant of Tyre Mobility Kit is only used for one flat tyre.
-
If the sealant injection hose is not fully connected to the tyre valve, the sealant may flow back and block the valve.
-
Do not connect another vehicle's Tyre Mobility Kit (TMK) to the power outlet.
The unmatched power requirement between the vehicle power outlet and the tyre mobility kit can cause fire or circuit damage within the vehicle and the Tyre Mobility Kit.
-
For your safety, do not exceed a driving speed of approximately 80 km/h. If abnormal vibrations or noise occur during driving, reduce speed, park in a safe location, and Call for road side service or towing to an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
-
When you use the Tyre Mobility Kit, the wheel may be stained by sealant. Therefore, remove the wheel stained by sealant and have the vehicle inspected at a professional workshop. Kia recommends visiting an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
-
If the inflation pressure is not maintained, drive the vehicle a second time, refer to Distributing the sealant. Then repeat steps 1 to 4.
-
Use of the TMK may be ineffectual for tyre damage larger than approximately 4 mm (0.16 inches).
-
We recommend that you contact a professional workshop if the tyre cannot be made roadworthy with the Tyre Mobility Kit.
-
Driving the vehicle after injecting the sealant into the tyre helps evenly spread the sealant on the puncture area as the vehicle vibrates during driving.
-
The Tyre Mobility Kit is not designed or intended as a permanent tyre repair method and is to be used for one tyre only.
-
The sealant seals the puncture area and maintains the tyre pressure with vibrations and slight heat generated by the tyre.
-
After ensuring that the tyre is properly sealed, you can drive cautiously on the tyre (for a distance of up to 200 km (120 miles)) at maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph) in order to reach a service station or a tyre dealer to have the tyre replaced.
-
Avoid abrupt steering or other driving manoeuvres if the vehicle is heavily loaded or if a trailer is in use. For more details, refer to Safe use of Tyre Mobility Kit.
-
Take out the remover tool in the Tyre Mobility Kit. Insert the tool to the hole and pull out the wheel cover.

When reinstalling the repaired or replaced tyre and wheel on the vehicle, tighten the wheel lug nut to 11–13 kgf·m (79–94 lbf·ft).
