Forward Parking Distance Warning

Forward Parking Distance Warning will operate when one of the condition is satisfied.

  • The gear is shifted from R (Reverse) to D (Drive) with Reverse Parking Distance Warning on

  • The gear is in D (Drive) and the Parking safety button indicator light () is on

  • When shifting the gear to D (Drive) whilst the function is turned off

    (If Settings > Vehicle > Driver assistance > Parking Safety > Auto PDW (Parking Distance Warning) on the infotainment system selected)

NOTE
  • Forward Parking Distance Warning operates only when the vehicle speed is 10 km/h (6 mph) or lower.

  • In R (Reverse), objects located at the front inner side are not detected, and a warning is only provided for objects within 60 cm (24 in) at the front outer sides.

  • If Auto on for Parking Distance Warning is not selected, the Forward Parking Distance Warning function will turn off when the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h (18 mph) (indicator on the button turns off).

    The function does not turn back on automatically even if the vehicle slows down to 10 km/h (6 mph) or lower.

  • The corresponding indicator will appear whenever each ultrasonic sensor detects a person, animal or object in its sensing range. Also, an audible warning will sound.

  • When more than two objects are detected at the same time, the closest one will be warned with an audible warning.

  • When the distance from the object is more than 60 cm (24 in), it is not displayed on the cluster in case of forward and outer warning.

  • The shape of the indicator in the illustration may differ from the actual vehicle.
