Front seat belt warning light

When the vehicle is ON, the warning light will illuminate for approximately 6 seconds. The warning light will continue to stay illuminated until the seat belt is fastened. If the driver’s seat belt is not fastened, the warning chime will sound for about 6 seconds.

If the seat belt is unfastened while driving and the vehicle's speed is 6 mph (9 km/h) or more but less than 12 mph (20 km/h), the warning light will remain illuminated. If the vehicle's speed is above approximately 12 mph (20 km/h) and the seat belt is unfastened while driving, the warning light (flashing) and warning sound will operate for about 100 seconds. After that, the warning light will continue to stay illuminated until the seat belt is fastened.

When the front passenger seat is not occupied, the seat belt warning light turns on for approximately 6 seconds and then turns off. In addition, when the warning is already activated, the seat belt not fastened warning may remain for about 6 seconds after the passenger gets out of the vehicle.
