i-Pedal
i-Pedal is controlled by acceleration pedal. It provides vehicle speed control without manually controlling the paddle shifter.
Operation
-
Pull the left side (
) of the paddle shifter lever when the regenerative braking level is 3. i-Pedal indicator will be displayed in the cluster. -
Pull the right side (
) of the paddle shifter lever or shift to R (Reverse) to turn off i-Pedal.-
Check i-Pedal indicator symbol i-Pedal on the instrument cluster.
-
Operating condition(s)
-
Driver’s door must be closed.
Non-operating condition(s)
-
On steep uphill or downhill roads
-
At the end of a slope
-
When repeatedly starting and stopping on a slope
-
When DBC is active
-
When the brake pedal is applied
-
When the high voltage battery is excessively charged
-
When driving in SNOW mode
-
When a trailer is installed
Conditions for automatic EPB application
EPB will be applied automatically after the vehicle stops using the one pedal driving if any of the following conditions is met:
-
The driver’s door is opened and the seat belt is unfastened.
-
The hood is opened.
-
The tailgate is opened.
-
Approximately 5 minutes have passed since the vehicle stopped.
-
The function is restricted due to other reasons.
-
The vehicle may not stop depending on the road and driving conditions. Check the road ahead and driving status, and apply the brake pedal to control speed if necessary.
-
Always pay attention to the road ahead when driving with i-Pedal.
-
In an emergency braking situation, stop the vehicle using the brake pedal.
-
Do not use the i-Pedal on slippery roads. It may cause an accident.
-
Always maintain a safe braking distance and reduce speed manually by pressing the brake pedal when necessary.
-
The i-Pedal is intended for gradual deceleration, not for complete stopping or conventional braking.
-
The i-Pedal cannot completely replace brake operation.
-
To use the i-Pedal safely, read the user manual and practice before use.
-
The function may not be maintained depending on the vehicle speed and road conditions.
While the i-Pedal is active, if the vehicle decelerates beyond a certain rate, the brake lights may turn on even without pressing the brake pedal.
