Lane Keeping Assist settings

Lane Safety

A: Driver Assistance

With the vehicle on, select or deselect Setup → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Lane Safety from the infotainment system screen to set whether or not to use each function.

  • Assist: Lane Keeping Assist will automatically assist the driver's steering when lane departure is detected to help prevent the vehicle from moving out of its lane.

  • Warning Only: Lane Keeping Assist will warn the driver with an audible warning when lane departure is detected. The driver must steer the vehicle.

  • Off: Lane Keeping Assist will turn off. The indicator () light will turn off on the cluster.

WARNING

  • If Warning Only is selected, steering is not assisted.

  • Lane Keeping Assist does not control the steering wheel when the vehicle is driven in the middle of the lane.

  • The driver should always be aware of the surroundings and steer the vehicle if Off is selected.

Turning Lane Keeping Assist On/Off

With the vehicle on, press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button located on the steering wheel to turn on Lane Keeping Assist. The gray () indicator light will appear on the cluster.

Press and hold the button again to turn off the function.

If the vehicle is restarted, Lane Keeping Assist will maintain the last setting.

NOTICE

  • When the Lane Driving Assist button is pressed shortly, Lane Following Assist will turn on and off.

  • When Lane Keeping Assist is turned off with the Lane Driving Assist button, the Lane Safety setting also changes to Off.

You can adjust the Warning Methods with the EV button in the ON position.

  • Warning Volume: Select Setup → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods on the Infotainment system.

  • Driving Safety Priority: Select Setup → Vehicle Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods → Driving Safety Priority on the Infotainment system. For safe driving, the audio volume will temporarily decrease to warn the driver with the audible warning.

CAUTION

  • Changing the Warning Methods may also change the Warning Methods of other driver assistance systems. Please ensure and change it.

  • Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

  • The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle features and specifications.

  • Descriptions of each Driver Assistance system may be slightly different from the owner's manual after updating the software of your infotainment system. In this case, scan the QR code in the infotainment system manual to access the web manual for checking the changes.

  • Depending on your region or update, the menu may be displayed as 'Warning Sound' or 'Warning Methods'.
