With the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button in the On position, select 'Settings → Driver Assistance → Blind-Spot Safety' on the instrument cluster or 'Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Blind-Spot Safety' on the infotainment system to set whether to use each function.

• If ‘Active Assist’ is selected, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist will warn the driver with a warning message, an audible warning, steering wheel vibration (if equipped) and braking assist will be applied depending on the collision risk levels.

• If ‘Warning Only’ is selected, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist will warn the driver with a warning message, an audible warning and steering wheel vibration depending on the collision risk levels. Braking will not be assisted.

• If ‘Off’ is selected, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist will turn off.

The indicator on the switch will appear when the Blind-Spot Safety button is pressed with the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button ON. If the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h (12 mph), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist will activate. If you press the button again, the indicator and the function will be turned off. If the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button is turned OFF and ON, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist returns to the previous state. When Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist is not used turn Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist off by pressing the button. When Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist is turned on the warning light will appear for 3 seconds on the outside rear view mirror.

• If you press the Blind-Spot Safety button whilst 'Warning Only' is selected, the indicator on the button extinguishes and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist deactivates.

• If you press the Blind-Spot Safety button whilst Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist is cancelled the indicator on the button appears Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist activates. In this case, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist returns to the state before the engine turned off.

When the engine is restarted with the function off, the ‘Blind-Spot Safety System is Off’ message will appear on the cluster.

If you change the setting from ‘Off’ to ‘Active Assist’ or ‘Warning Only’, the warning light on the side view mirror (outside mirror) will blink for approximately 3 seconds.

In addition, if the engine is turned on, when Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist is set to ‘Active Assist’ or ‘Warning Only’, the warning light on the side view mirror (outside mirror) will blink for approximately 3 seconds.

With the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button in the On position, select 'Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Timing' on the instrument cluster or 'Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Timing' on the infotainment system to change the initial warning activation time for Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist.

You can adjust the Warning Methods with the ignition switch or ENGINE START/STOP button in the ON position.

• Warning Volume: Select ‘User Settings → Driver Assistance → Warning Volume’ on the LCD display or ‘Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods’ on the Infotainment system.

• Haptic warning: Select 'User settings → Driver assistance → Haptic warning' on the instrument cluster or select 'Settings → Vehicle → Driver assistance → Warning methods → Haptic warning' on the infotainment system, and set the steering wheel vibration warning. (if equipped)

• Driving Safety Priority : Select ‘Settings → Vehicle → Driver Assistance → Warning Methods → Driving Safety Priority’ on the Infotainment system. For safe driving, the audio volume will temporarily decrease to warn the driver with the audible warning.
