Daytime Running Light (DRL)

The Daytime Running Light (DRL) can make it easier for others to see the front of your vehicle during the day.

The DRL can be helpful in many different driving conditions, and it is especially helpful after dawn and before sunset.

The DRL will turn the dedicated lamp OFF when:

  • The headlight switch is on.

  • The vehicle is off.

  • The front fog light is on. (if equipped)

  • Engaging the Parking Brake.

Automatic Low beam light

Even if the light switch is in the OFF position, the low beam headlights, taillights and the low beam indicator light turns ON automatically to provide better safety during low light environment.

The low beam headlights, taillights and the low beam indicator light turns ON when the outside brightness is below 1000 lux.

The Automatic low beam light will deactivate when:

  • Engaging the parking brake.

  • Gear is in P (Parking) position.

CAUTION

Daytime Running Light may not be activated when:

  • Parking brake is engaged and the vehicle speed is under 5 km/h (3 mph)

NOTICE

Automatic low beam light deactivation conditions do not turn Daytime Running Light ON, therefore it may not activate the Automatic low beam light.
