Operation

Press and hold the hood unlock button (2) on the smart key for approximately 1.5 seconds to unlock the hood.

Lift the unlocked hood upwards.

After lowering the hood, push it all the way down and close it.

To close the hood, lower the hood and let it drop. Make sure that it is properly locked into place. If the hood is being pressed in the closing direction when it is pressed again towards the closed direction, firmly press the front part of the hood emblem with both hands to ensure proper closure.

When Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist is activated, the outside door handle will pop out for the rescue the passengers.

The outside door handle will automatically locked when the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist is deactivated,

Open the hood after turning off the vehicle on a flat surface, shifting the gear to the P (Park) position and setting the parking brake.

Before closing the hood, ensure that all obstructions are removed from the hood opening. Closing the hood with an obstruction present in the hood opening may result in property damage or severe personal injury.

Do not leave gloves, rags or any other combustible material in the motor compartment. Doing so may cause a heat-induced fire.

Always double check to be sure that the hood is firmly latched before driving away. If it is not latched, the hood could open while the vehicle is being driven, causing total loss of visibility, which might result in an accident.

Do not move the vehicle with the hood raised. The view will be blocked and the hood could fall or be damaged.

If the hood is not closed completely, the vehicle speed will be limited.
Operate the hood unlocking lever if the hood does not open due to low temperature, etc.
