Passenger’s front air bag OFF indicator
The passenger’s front air bag OFF indicator appears for about 4 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
The passenger’s front air bag OFF indicator also comes on when the passenger’s front air bag ON/OFF switch is set to the OFF position and goes off when the passenger’s front air bag ON/OFF switch is set to the ON position.
If the passenger’s front air bag ON/OFF switch malfunctions, the passenger’s front air bag OFF indicator will not appear and the passenger’s front air bag will inflate in a frontal impact even if the passenger’s front air bag ON/OFF switch is set to the OFF position.
In this case, have the passenger's front air bag ON/OFF switch and the SRS air bag system inspected by a professional workshop.
