Headlight delay function

If you place the ENGINE START/STOP button in the ACC or OFF with the headlights ON, the headlights and parking lights remain on for about 5 minutes unless the driver's door is opened and then closed. The headlights and parking lights turn off after 15 seconds.

The headlamps (and/or parking lights) can be turned off by pressing the lock button on the smart key twice or turning the light switch to the OFF or AUTO position. However, if you turn the light switch to the AUTO position when it is dark outside, the headlamps will not be turned off.

You can activate or deactivate the Headlight Delay function from the Settings menu on the infotainment system screen. If your Kia is equipped with additional navigation, please refer to the infotainment system manual separately supplied.

NOTICE

The infotainment system may change after software updates. For more information, refer to the user's manual provided in the infotainment system and the quick reference guide.

NOTICE

If the driver exits the vehicle through another door besides the driver door, the battery saver function does not operate and the headlamp delay function does not turn OFF automatically.

This may cause the battery to discharge. To avoid battery discharge, turn OFF the headlamps manually from the headlamp switch before exiting the vehicle.
