Safe use of Tire Mobility Kit
-
Use the TMK in a safe location away from the road. Install the warning triangle to alert others for road safety.
-
Use the kit on a sturdy and flat surface and make sure to immobilize the vehicle. Engage the electronic parking brake (EPB)
-
The TMK should only be used on specified/designated vehicles. Do not use it on other types of tires, such as bicycle or motorcycle tires.
-
If sharp objects like nails or screws are stuck in the tire, do not arbitrarily attempt to remove them- they can penetrate deeper into the tire. Instead, visit an authorized Kia dealer/service partner for inspection.
-
Read and understand the instructions provided on the sealant bottle prior to using the TMK.
-
Ensure to turn on the vehicle when using the kit. Failure to do so may result in battery discharge as the compressor uses the vehicle battery for its operation.
-
Do not leave the TMK unattended while it is being used.
-
Do not run the compressor for more than 10 minutes; it may overheat.
-
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit if the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C (-22°F) or below
-
Do not use the Tire Mobility Kit if the tire and wheel are damaged.
-
Keep the Tire Mobility Kit out of the reach of children.
-
Do not use the TMK or sealants with poor quality or performance. Using improper sealants may cause a malfunction of the tire pressure monitoring sensor. Only Kia genuine sealants or those of an equivalent standard can guarantee quality and performance.
-
After using sealants to repair a punctured tire, make sure to remove any residue of the sealant from the tire pressure monitoring sensor and the wheel. We recommend visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner for inspection.
Sealants and spare parts are available at an authorized Kia dealer. Dispose of the sealant properly after use. Empty sealant bottles can be disposed at home, and for remaining sealant, you can bring them to an authorized Kia dealer for disposal.
