Auto defogging reduces the possibility of fogging up the inside of the windscreen by automatically sensing the moisture of inside the windscreen.
Auto Defog System is activated when you select from the Settings in the infotainment system screen.
The infotainment system may change after software updates. For more information, refer to the manual provided in the infotainment system and the quick reference guide.
This indicator illuminates when the auto defogging system senses the moisture of inside the windscreen and operates.
If more moisture is in the vehicle, higher steps operate as follows.
Step 1: Outside air position
Step 2: Blowing air flow toward the windscreen
Step 3: Increasing air flow toward the windscreen
Step 4: Operating the air conditioning.
To cancel or reset the Auto Defogging System
Touch the front windscreen defroster icon for 3 seconds when the EV button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
When the ADS system is cancelled, indicator on the icon will blink 3 times per 0.5 sec and the ADS OFF position will be displayed on the climate control information screen.
When the ADS system is reset, indicator on the icon will blink 6 times per 0.25 sec and the position ADS OFF position will be disappeared on the climate control information screen.
You can set or release the Auto Defogging System on the Climate Information selection screen.
Auto Defog System is activated when you select from the Settings in the infotainment system screen.
If the battery is discharged or detached, the auto defogging system will be reset. Adjust the feature accordingly.

Touching one of air intake control icon, A/C icon, wind direction mode selection icons will deactivate the Auto Defogging System. To secure a driver’s vision, never touch air intake control icon, A/C icon, wind direction mode selection icons whilst the Auto Defogging System is running.

Do not remove the sensor cover located on the upper end of the windscreen glass. Removing the cover can damage the sensor.
