Auto control

  • You can adjust the wiping speed by turning the speed control knob (1).

  • The rain sensor (2), located at the upper end of the windscreen, detects the amount of rainfall and automatically adjusts the wiper cycle. The heavier the rain, the faster the wipers operate. When the rain stops, the wipers stop.

  • If the wiper switch is set to AUTO mode when the vehicle is in the POWER ON position or the DRIVE READY indicator is on, the wipers will operate once to perform a system self-check.

  • Set the wiper switch to the OFF position when the wipers are not in use.

CAUTION

When the vehicle is in the POWER ON position or the DRIVE READY indicator is on and the windscreen wiper switch is in AUTO mode, use caution to avoid injury to your hands or other parts of the body:

  • Do not touch the upper end of the windscreen glass where the rain sensor is located.

  • Do not wipe the upper end of the windscreen glass with a damp or wet cloth.

  • Do not apply pressure to the windscreen glass.

CAUTION
  • When washing the vehicle, set the wiper switch to the OFF position to prevent automatic wiper operation.

The wipers may operate and be damaged if the switch is in AUTO mode whilst washing the vehicle.

  • Do not remove the sensor cover located at the upper end of the windscreen. Removing it may damage system components and may not be covered by your vehicle warranty.

  • In winter, set the wiper switch to the OFF position before starting the vehicle. Otherwise, the wipers may operate, and ice may damage the wiper blades. Always remove all snow and ice and properly defrost the windscreen before operating the wipers.

  • When tinting the windscreen, prevent any fluid from entering the sensor located at the top centre of the front windscreen, as it may cause damage to related components.
