This indicator displays which exterior light is selected using the lighting control.

You can activate or deactivate the Wiper/Lights Display function in the information cluster LCD display’s User Settings mode.

This indicator displays which wiper speed is selected using the wiper control.

You can activate or deactivate the Wiper/Lights Display function in the information cluster LCD display’s User Settings mode.

Low washer fluid

This warning message displays when the washer fluid level in the reservoir is nearly empty.

Refill the washer fluid reservoir.

Ice possible. Drive with care.

This warning appears when the road may be icy.

When the temperature on the outside temperature gauge is below approximately 40 °F (4 °C), the warning light and outside temperature gauge will blink 5 times, then remain lit. A warning chime will sound once.

Low key battery

This warning message appears if the smart key’s battery is discharged when you turn the EV button to the OFF position.

Press START button while turning wheel

This warning message appears if the steering wheel does not unlock normally when you press the EV button. To resolve the issue, press the EV button while turning the steering wheel right and left.

Steering wheel not locked

This warning message appears if the steering wheel does not lock when you turn the EV button to the OFF position.

Check haptic steering wheel system

This warning message appears if the steering wheel does not lock normally when you turn the EV button to the OFF position.

Key not in vehicle

This warning message appears if the smart key is not in the vehicle when you press the EV button. Always have the smart key with you.

Key not detected

This warning message appears if the smart key is not detected when you press the EV button.

Press START button again

• This warning message appears if you cannot operate the EV button due to a problem with the button system.

• You can start the vehicle by pressing the EV button once more.

• If the warning appears every time you press the EV button, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Press START button with key

• This warning message appears if you press the EV button while the warning message “Key not detected” is illuminated.

• The immobilizer indicator light will blink.

Shift to P to start vehicle

This warning message is displayed if you try to start the vehicle without shifting to the P (Park) position.

Problem with Driver Assistance system

Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse

• The brake switch fuse is disconnected

• You need to replace the fuse with a new one before starting the vehicle.

• If that is not possible, you can start the vehicle by pressing the EV button for 10 seconds in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.
