Always be careful not to damage the seat belt and buckle when folding or unfolding the seat.

Fold the rear seatbacks down to carry long objects that the liftgate cannot accommodate. Never allow passengers to sit on top of the folded down seatbacks while the vehicle is moving. Objects carried on the folded down seatback should not extend above the top of the front seatbacks. This could allow the luggage to slide forward and cause injury or damage during a sudden stop.

Do not fold the rear seats if passengers, pets, or luggage are in the rear seats. This might cause injury or damage to passengers, pets, or luggage.

Always secure luggage to prevent it from being thrown around the vehicle in a collision and causing serious injury to the vehicle’s occupants. Do not place objects in the rear seats because they cannot be properly secured and might hit the front seat occupants in a collision, resulting in serious injury or death.

Make sure that the EV button is in the OFF position, the gear is in P (Park), and the parking brake is securely applied whenever you load or unload cargo. Failure to take these steps might allow the vehicle to move if the gear shift lever is inadvertently moved to another position.
