With the vehicle on, touch Setup > Vehicle > Driver assistance > Parking safety on the infotainment system.

  • Forward/Side Safety: It warns or assists in braking when there is a high risk of collision with pedestrians or objects in the forward/side direction.: (if equipped)

  • Backward safety: It warns or assists in braking when there is a high risk of collision with pedestrians or objects in the rear direction.

WARNING

  • Do not use the system when towing another vehicle or when installing equipment that may affect sensor performance or vehicle balance. The system may not operate properly.

  • If the trailer connection is automatically recognized through genuine parts, the functions of the driver assistance system may be limited. Please refer to Driver assistance system limitations when connecting a trailer and always drive with caution.

TIP

Forward/side safety is only available when rear safety is selected. Rear safety is set as the default when the vehicle is turned on, and forward/side safety is set to the previous selection.
