Lane Keeping Assist settings

Lane Safety

A: Driver Assistance

With the vehicle on, select or deselect SetupVehicleDriver AssistanceLane Safety from the infotainment system screen to set whether or not to use each function.

  • Assist: Lane Keeping Assist will automatically assist the driver's steering when lane departure is detected to help prevent the vehicle from moving out of its lane.

  • Warning Only: Lane Keeping Assist will warn the driver with an audible warning when lane departure is detected. The driver must steer the vehicle.

  • Off: Lane Keeping Assist will turn off. The indicator () light will turn off on the cluster.

WARNING
  • If Warning Only is selected, steering is not assisted.

  • Lane Keeping Assist does not control the steering wheel when the vehicle is driven in the middle of the lane.

  • The driver should always be aware of the surroundings and steer the vehicle if Off is selected.

Turning Lane Keeping Assist On/Off

With the vehicle on, press and hold the Lane Driving Assist button located on the steering wheel to turn on Lane Keeping Assist. The gray () indicator light will appear on the cluster.

Press and hold the button again to turn off the function.

If the vehicle is restarted, Lane Keeping Assist will maintain the last setting.

NOTICE
  • When the Lane Driving Assist button is pressed quickly, Lane Following Assist will turn on and off.

  • When Lane Keeping Assist is turned off with the Lane Driving Assist button, the Lane Safety setting also changes to Off.

Warning Methods can be set when the vehicle is in ON position.

  • Warning Volume: Select SetupVehicleDriver AssistanceWarning MethodsWarning Volume on the infotainment system, and adjust the warning volume.

    Even if you set the warning volume to 0, Warning volume will keep its volume in 1. (If steering wheel vibration equipped)

  • Haptic Warning: Select SetupVehicleDriver AssistanceWarning MethodsHaptic Warning on the infotainment system, and set the steering wheel vibration warning. (if equipped)

  • Lane Safety Audible Warning Off: You can turn on or off the warning volume of Lane Keeping Assist. Lane Safety Audible Warning Off can be selected when both Warning Volume and haptic warning are on.

  • Driving Safety Priority: Select SetupVehicle SettingsDriver AssistanceWarning MethodsDriving Safety Priority on the infotainment system.

    For safe driving, the audio volume will temporarily decrease to warn the driver with the audible warning.

CAUTION
  • Ensure that Warning Methods you have set apply to the Warning Methods of other driver assistance systems.

  • Warning Methods will maintain its last setting even if the vehicle is restarted.

  • The setting menu may not be available for your vehicle depending on the vehicle features and specifications.

  • Lane Safety Audible Warning Off can be selected when both Warning Volume and Haptic Warning is turned on.

  • With the warning volume is 0, if you deselect Haptic Warning, the warning volume will be automatically adjusted with volume 2.

  • With the Haptic Warning is deselected, if you adjust the warning volume to 0, the Haptic Warning will be automatically selected.
