Safe Exit Warning disabled

When the rear bumper around the rear corner radar or sensor is covered with foreign material, such as snow or rain, installing a trailer, carrier or other equipment, it can reduce the detecting performance and temporarily limit or disable Safe Exit Warning.
At this time, a warning message will appear on the cluster, but it is not a system malfunction. After foreign material has been removed or the trailer, carrier, or other equipment has been removed and then engine is restarted. Safe Exit Warning will operate normally. Always keep it clean.
If Safe Exit Warning does not operate normally after vehicle rear luggage, other equipment or foreign material is removed, have the vehicle be inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
