The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the number used in registering your vehicle and in all legal matters pertaining to its ownership, etc.

The VIN is located on the top of the instrument panel in front of the driver and the top of the instrument panel in front of the passenger.

The number on the plate can easily be seen through the windscreen from outside.
