Closing the front trunk

To close the front trunk cover, push down the cover.

TIP

Available Front Trunk Weight

  • AWD: 25 lbs. (10 kg)

  • 2WD: 55 lbs. (25 kg)

Available front trunk weight depends on the specifications.

WARNING
  • NEVER make an attempt to get inside the front trunk. It will cause a fatal injury.

  • Before closing the hood, make sure that there are no obstructions around the hood opening. The hood moves up or down automatically if you do not firmly adjust the height. Be aware of the damage caused by unintended hood movements.

  • Never store cigarette lighters, propane cylinders, or other flammable or explosive materials in the vehicle. These items might catch on fire or explode if the vehicle is exposed to hot temperatures for extended periods.

CAUTION
  • Do not exceed the luggage volume capacity of the front trunk. The overloaded front trunk can be severely damaged.

  • Do not store fragile objects in the front trunk.

  • Always keep the front trunk cover securely closed while driving. Items inside your vehicle are moving as fast as the vehicle. If you must stop or turn quickly, or if there is a crash, the items can be damaged.

  • Do not spray water in the front trunk. Spraying water in the front trunk might damage the vehicle driving system because the front trunk is located at the center of the motor compartment.

  • Be careful when you store any liquid in the front trunk. If liquid leaks outside of the front trunk, the leak will cause damage to the electronic devices in the motor compartment.

  • Pressing on the front trunk cover or placing objects on the front trunk cover might deform or damage it.

  • When closing the front trunk cover, be careful not to touch objects inside the trunk. Loaded objects or the front trunk may be deformed or damaged and the front trunk cover may be opened during driving due to poor closing, resulting in damage.

NOTE

To avoid possible theft, do not leave valuables in the storage compartments.

CAUTION

Do not put objects that exceed available front trunk weight to the front trunk, or it may cause damage to the motor room compartment.
