  1. Wheel dollies

If towing is necessary, have it done by authorized Kia dealer or a commercial tow-truck service.

Proper lifting and towing procedures are necessary to prevent damage to the vehicle.

WARNING

Side and Curtain Airbag

If your vehicle is equipped with side and curtain airbag, place the EV button in OFF when the vehicle is being towed.

The side and curtain airbag may deploy when the vehicle is in POWER ON position, and the rollover sensor detects the situation as a rollover.

CAUTION

The AWD vehicle should never be towed with the wheels on the ground. Always use wheel dollies or flatbed. If not, the power electric system and the AWD system could be seriously damaged.

NOTE

  • Your vehicle cannot be towed with tires on the ground. The use of wheel dollies or flatbed is recommended.

  • If the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) does not release normally, take your vehicle to an authorized Kia dealer by loading the vehicle on a flatbed tow truck and have the system checked.
