Precautions for using towing hooks for short-distance movement before towing the vehicle
When moving your vehicle for loading onto a tow truck or repositioning it for towing, drive at a speed at or below 3 mph (5 km/h) over a distance at or below 32 ft (10 m).
Shift the gear to N (Neutral) and release the parking brake. When the power electric system or parking brake is not functioning, ensure that all wheels of your vehicle are elevated using a tow dolly or tire skates.
