The fingerprint authentication system might not work under the following conditions:

• You are trying to authorize with unregistered fingerprint

• You are not touching the center of the fingerprint authentication sensor

• Any water or substance is on your finger or the sensor.

• You do not remove the film on the sensor

• The registered fingerprint is damaged or swollen

• Your hand is overly dry

• You touch the sensor too quickly.

The fingerprint enrollment and deletion functions might be temporarily restricted if fingerprint authentication fails more than 5 times consecutively. Try again later or sign in a different way, such as entering your password.

When you visit an authorized Kia dealer for repairs due to a failure of the fingerprint authorization system related parts, your registered fingerprint might be deleted. Have your smart key with you when you visit an authorized Kia dealer.

You cannot use the fingerprint sensor when the battery is discharged.

If you turn the vehicle to POWER ON or OFF position during fingerprint authorization, the process will not complete.
