Limitations of Safe Exit Assist
Safe Exit Assist may operate abnormally or unexpectedly under the following circumstances:

Getting out of the vehicle where trees or grass are overgrown

Getting out of the vehicle where the road is wet

The approaching vehicle is very fast or very slow
NOTE
For more information about the rear corner radar, refer to Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA).
WARNING

Safe Exit Assist may not operate properly if interfered by strong electromagnetic waves.

Safe Exit Assist may not activate for approximately 3 seconds after you restart the vehicle or initialize the rear corner radars.

Even after you restart the vehicle, Safe Exit Assist may not function properly if the obstruction or malfunction persists.
