When the area around the rear-side radar or sensor on the rear bumper is covered with foreign material such as snow or rain, or when a trailer, carrier, or twin swing tailgate is opened, the detection performance may be reduced, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist may be temporarily limited or disabled.

If this occurs, the warning message will appear on the cluster.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist will operate properly when such foreign material is removed, or when the trailer, carrier, or twin swing rear tailgate is closed or removed.

If Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist does not operate properly after it is removed, have the function be inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends that you visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
