  1. Emergency Braking

Emergency Braking can alert you with Forward Safety warning light blinking (), a warning message, an audible warning and steering wheel vibration.

Emergency Braking can be activated according to oncoming objects and danger levels under the following conditions:

  • Vehicle or motorcyclist *:

    -

    Driving target

    Stopped target

    Weak braking power

    Approximately 6-124 mph (10-200 km/h)

    Strong braking power

    Approximately 6-80 mph (10-130 km/h)

    Approximately 6-53 mph (10-85 km/h)

*: If FCA determines that a collision cannot be avoided even by changing lanes due to the surrounding conditions of the vehicle, braking assistance is provided earlier. When the target object is stationary, FCA may operate at speeds between about 6-62 mph (10-100 km/h) (if equipped)

  • Pedestrian or cyclist: approximately 6-49 mph (10-80 km/h)

  • A target enters the operating range of the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system.

CAUTION
  • The function’s operational range may decrease due to the traffic ahead of or the surroundings of the vehicle.

  • When driving at night, the ability to detect motorcycles is decreased. Thus, the Forward Collision- Avoidance Assist system may temporarily be limited or not work.
