Emergency unlocking of the twin swing tailgate

To unlock and open the tailgate manually from inside the luggage compartment, perform the following procedure:

Remove the cover of the release mechanism located at the lower left side inside the tailgate.

Slide the latch of the release mechanism in the direction of the arrow to unlock it.

Pull the lever on the left tailgate to open the tailgate.
WARNING

Be sure to familiarize yourself with the location and operation of the emergency release mechanism.

Instruct children not to play in the cargo area. Do not transport people or animals in the cargo area.

Opening the rear doors whilst driving is extremely dangerous.
Use the emergency release mechanism only in emergency situations.
