Warning lights
The warning light indicates situations that require the driver to pay attention.
Make sure that all warning lights are OFF after starting the vehilcle. If any light is still DRIVE READY, this indicates a situation that needs attention.
High voltage battery level warning light 
When the high voltage battery level is low.
Immediately charge the vehicle. The vehicle can drive an additional 30-40 km.

The actual distance to empty depends on the driving conditions.
Air bag warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

It illuminates for approximately 6 seconds and then goes off.

When there is a malfunction with the SRS.
In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends that you visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Seat belt warning light

Parking brake & brake fluid warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds
-
It remains on if the parking brake is applied.
-

When the parking brake is applied.
-
When the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low.
-
If the warning light illuminates with the parking brake released, it indicates the brake fluid level in reservoir is low.
-

Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop your vehicle.
-
With the vehicle stopped, check the brake fluid level immediately and add fluid as required (For more details, refer to Brake fluid). Then check all brake components for fluid leaks. If any leak on the brake system is still found, the warning light remains on, or the brakes do not operate properly, do not drive the vehicle.
In this case, have the vehicle towed to a professional workshop and inspected. Kia recommends that you visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Your vehicle is equipped with dual-diagonal braking systems. This means you still have braking on two wheels even if one of the dual systems should fail.
With only one of the dual systems working, more than normal pedal travel and greater pedal pressure are required to stop the vehicle.
Also, the vehicle will not stop in as short a distance with only a portion of the brake system working.
If the brakes fail whilst you are driving, shift to a lower gear for additional braking and stop the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
Parking brake & brake fluid warning light
Driving the vehicle with a warning light ON is dangerous. If the parking brake & brake fluid warning light illuminates with the parking brake released, it indicates that the brake fluid level is low.

Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

When there is a malfunction with the ABS (The normal braking system will still be operational without the assistance of the anti-lock brake system).

Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

When there is a malfunction with the EPB.
In this case, we recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) warning light
The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) warning light may illuminate when the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator light comes on to indicate that the ESC is not working properly (This does not indicate malfunction of the EPB).
Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

This indicator light comes on after the EV button is turned to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position and then goes out after approximately 3 seconds.

When there is a malfunction with the MDPS.

Charging system warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

When there is a malfunction with either the alternator or electrical charging system.

Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop your vehicle.

Turn the vehicle off and check the electrical charging system.
If the charging system warning light remains illuminated whilst driving, we recommend to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Overspeed Warning Light : (if equipped)

When you drive the vehicle more than 120 km/ (75 mph).
-
This is to prevent you from driving your vehicle with over speed.
-
The overspeed warning chime also sound for approximately 5 seconds.

To identify the details of the warning look at the LCD display.
If the warning situation is solved, the master warning light will turn off.
Service warning light

When you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

The service warning light appears for approximately 3 seconds and then turns off when all checks have been performed.

When there is a problem with the hybrid vehicle control system or hardware.
When the warning light appears whilst driving, or does not go OFF after starting the vehicle, we recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Regenerative brake warning light
(yellow)
When the regenerative brake does not operate and the brake does not perform well. This causes the Brake Warning light (red) and Regenerative Brake Warning Light (yellow) to appear simultaneously.
If this occurs, drive safely and have your vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner. The operation of the brake pedal may be more difficult than normal and the braking distance may increase.
Master warning light

This warning light informs the driver the following situations

Low tyre pressure warning light

When one or more of your tyres are significantly under inflated. (The location of the underinflated tyres are displayed on the LCD display).

When there is a malfunction with the TPMS.

Low tyre pressure

Significantly low tyre pressure makes the vehicle unstable and can contribute to loss of vehicle control and increased braking distances.

Continued driving or low pressure tyres will cause the tyres to overheat and fail.
Safe stopping

The TPMS cannot alert you to severe and sudden tyre damage caused by external factors.

If you notice any vehicle instability, immediately take your foot off the accelerator pedal, apply the brakes gradually with light force, and slowly move to a safe position off the road.
LED Headlamp warning light

Once you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

When there is a malfunction with the LED headlamp.

Intelligent Front-Lighting System warning light : (if equipped)

When you set the EV button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

The Intelligent Front-Lighting System warning light appears for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

Whenever there is a malfunction with Intelligent Front-Lighting System. If this occurs, drive your vehicle to the nearest safe location, and turn the vehicle off and restart the vehicle. If the warning light remains on, we recommend that you have your vehicle inspected by an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Forward Safety warning light : (if equipped)

When there is a malfunction with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.
In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
Inattentive Driving Warning light : (if equipped)

When the EV Button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position. It illuminates for about 3 seconds and then goes off.

Yellow: When Driver Attention Warning is disabled or a malfunction is detected. If the yellow indicator light remains on after the front view camera has been uncovered or unblocked, we recommend that your vehicle be inspected by an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Yellow: Driver Attention Warning recommends to take a break.

Forward Attention Warning light : (if equipped)

When the EV Button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position. It illuminates for about 3 seconds and then goes off.

When Forward Attention Warning is disabled or a malfunction is detected. If the warning light remains on after the in-cabin camera has been uncovered or unblocked, we recommend to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Forward Attention Warning warns the driver to keep eyes on the road.

Icy road warning light 
To warn the driver the road may be icy.
When the outside temperature on the temperature gauge is below 4 °C (40 °F), a single chime sounds, both the outside temperature gauge and icy road warning indicator blink several times, and then they remain illuminated.
You can activate or deactivate the icy road warning function from the Settings menu in the infotainment system. Select .
If the icy road warning light appears whilst driving, avoid speeding, rapid acceleration, sudden braking, or sharp turning.
The infotainment system may change after software updates. For more information, refer to the manual provided in the infotainment system and the quick reference guide.
Door ajar warning light 
When a door is not closed securely.
Tailgate open warning light 
When the tailgate is not closed securely.
Washer fluid warning light : (if equipped)

When the washer fluid level in the reservoir is nearly empty.
In this case, you should refill the washer fluid.
