Power down indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the high voltage battery level is too low or voltage is decreasing (Output limit occurs when the charge level is insufficient.).

  • When the temperature of the high voltage battery is too high or too low.

  • When the driving system temperature is overheated and requires protection. When the temperature of the high voltage battery is too high or too low.

If it illuminates alone, it is not failure.

  • If both power down indicator light and Service warning light illuminate at the same time, we recommend to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

  • When the indicator is illuminating, immediately charge the vehicle. The driving speed may be limited and the vehicle may not properly drive uphill.

Charging indicator light

This indicator illuminates:

When charging the high voltage battery.

READY indicator

This indicator appears:

When the vehicle is ready to be driven.

  • ON: Normal driving is possible.

  • OFF: Normal driving is not possible, or a problem has occurred.

  • Blinking: Emergency driving.

When the ready indicator goes OFF or blinks, there is a problem with the system. If this occurs, we recommend that you have your vehicle inspected by an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Battery conditioning indicator light

This indicator appears:

When battery conditioning mode is activated.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • Once you set the EV Button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

    • It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

  • When there is a malfunction with the ESC system.

    In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

This indicator light blinks:

Whilst the ESC is operating.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • Once you set the EV Button to the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position.

    • It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.

  • When you deactivate the ESC system by pressing the ESC OFF button.

Cruise Control (CC) : (if equipped)

This indicator light illuminates:

When Cruise Control is enabled.

Cruise SET Indicator Light: (if equipped)

This indicator light illuminates:

When Cruise Control speed is set.

Immobiliser indicator light (with smart key)

This indicator light illuminates for up to 30 seconds:
  • When the vehicle detects the smart key in the vehicle properly whilst the EV button is POWER ON or DRIVE READY.

    • At this time, you can start the vehicle.

    • The indicator light goes off after starting the vehicle.

This indicator light blinks for a few seconds:
  • When the smart key is not in the vehicle.

    • At this time, you can not start the vehicle.

This indicator light illuminates for 2 seconds and goes off:
  • When the vehicle can not detect the smart key which is in the vehicle whilst the EV Button is POWER ON or DRIVE READY.

    In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

This indicator light blinks:
  • When the battery of the smart key is weak.

    • At this time, you can not start the vehicle. However, you can start the vehicle if you press the EV Button with the smart key. (For more details, refer to Immobiliser system).

  • When there is a malfunction with the immobiliser system.

    In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Turn signal indicator light

This indicator light blinks:
  • When you turn the turn signal light on.

If any of the following occurs, there may a malfunction with the turn signal system. In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

  • The indicator light does not blink but illuminates.

  • The indicator light blinks more rapidly.

  • The indicator light does not illuminate at all.

Low beam indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the headlights are on.

High beam indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the headlights are on and in the high beam position.

  • When the turn signal lever is pulled into the Flash-to-Pass position.

High Beam Assist (HBA) indicator light

This indicator light illuminates :
  • When the high beam is on with the light switch in the AUTO light position.

  • If your vehicle detects oncoming or preceding vehicles, the Intelligent Front-Lighting System partially turns off the high beam LED lamps, or the HBA system automatically switches the high beam to low beam.

Light ON indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the tail lights or headlights are on.

Rear fog indicator light : (if equipped)

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the rear fog lights are on.

AUTO HOLD indicator light

This indicator light illuminates:
  • [White]: When you activate the AUTO HOLD system by pressing the AUTO HOLD button.

  • [Green]: When you stop the vehicle completely by depressing the brake pedal with the AUTO HOLD system activated.

  • [Yellow]: When there is a malfunction with the AUTO HOLD system.

    In this case, have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.

Lane Safety indicator light : (if equipped)

Lane Safety indicator light will illuminate when you turn Lane Keeping Assist on by pressing and holding Lane Driving Assist button.

If there is a problem with the function, the yellow Lane Safety indicator light will illuminate.

Lane Following Assist indicator light : (if equipped)

Lane Following Assist indicator will illuminate when you turn Lane Following Assist on by pressing Lane Driving Assist button.

If there is a problem with the function, the yellow Lane Following Assist indicator will illuminate.

Drive mode indicator light ( / )

This indicator light illuminates :
  • When you select each mode as drive mode.

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist indicator light : (if equipped)

This indicator light illuminates:
  • When the Start/Stop button is in the POWER ON or DRIVE READY position. It illuminates for about 3 seconds and then goes off.

  • Yellow: When Intelligent Speed Limit Assist is off, disabled, or a malfunction is detected.

If the yellow indicator light remains on after the front view camera has been uncovered or unblocked, we recommend to visit an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
