Pet Mode
Pet Mode allows you to leave your pet in a parked vehicle maintaining a comfortable cabin temperature using the vehicle’s high-voltage battery. It keeps the climate control system running, even when you park and turn off your vehicle, ensuring the interior temperature remains comfortable for your pet.
To activate Pet Mode

Shifting into P (Park) whilst the vehicle is in ON.

Select the Pet Mode option on the infotainment screen to activate the feature.

Check the pop-up message and tap Agree.

Choose the desired temperature for the cabin and setting on the infotainment screen.

When Pet Mode is on, make sure to lock all the doors in 5 minutes after you get off the vehicle.
Pet Mode will automatically turn off when you fail to lock the doors within 5 minutes.
To deactivate Pet Mode

Unlock the vehicle.

Tap Deactivate Pet Mode in the infotainment screen.

Pet Mode automatically deactivates when you do not take any action on the infotainment screen.
Lock the vehicle again to maintain Pet Mode.
Limited or disabled features during Pet Mode
Several features are limited or disabled when Pet Mode is active to prevent malfunctions caused by a pet:

Climate control button

Central door lock/unlock button

Media playback

Pet Mode is designed for the comfort of pets and should not be relied upon for the safety of children or other people.

Whilst Pet Mode is on, the rear occupant alert is off. Never leave a child unattended in the rear seat.

Pet Mode is specifically intended for the safety and comfort of pets left in the vehicle, not for humans. Kia is not responsible or liable for any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the user’s unintended or misuse of the feature.

To use Pet Mode, ensure your vehicle's battery level is enough for the feature. Battery discharge whilst the Pet Mode is active may potentially leave your pet locked inside the vehicle.

Pet Mode is designed for short periods when you need to leave your pet in the vehicle. It should not be used for extended periods of time.

Before activating Pet Mode, you should ensure to close all doors, the sunroof, tailgate, and windows.

In some weather conditions, Pet Mode can experience faster battery drain, specifically when the temperature difference between inside and outside of the vehicle is significant.

If the battery level is too low, Pet Mode may not engage. You should charge your battery beforehand if its level is too low for Pet Mode.

If Pet Mode is deactivated due to vehicle conditions, you will receive a notification on your mobile app. This alerts you that Pet Mode is deactivated, and you should return to your vehicle to ensure your pet’s safety.

Pet Mode can be deactivated due to a malfunction in either the high-voltage battery or the electric parking brake. Ensure that your vehicle is serviced to address any potential malfunctions related to these systems.
