Welcome system: (if equipped)

The welcome system illuminates the vehicle’s surroundings or interior to improve visibility when the driver approaches or exits the vehicle.

Welcome light (door handle)

  • Select Settings > Vehicle > Lights > Welcome mirror/light > On door unlock or On driver approach on the infotainment system screen to enable the welcome light function.

  • When activated, the door handle lights turn on for approximately 15 seconds.

Operating conditions

  • The lighting switch must be ON (AUTO position operates only at night).

  • All doors must be closed and locked.

  • When On door unlock is selected:

    • Press the door unlock button on the smart key or digital key.

    • Touch the sensor on the front outside door handle whilst carrying the smart key or digital key.

  • When On driver approach is selected:

    • Approach the front outside door handle within 1 m (40 inches) whilst carrying the smart key or digital key.

Welcome light (exterior lights)

  • Select Settings > Vehicle > Lights > Welcome mirror/light > On door unlock or On driver approach on the infotainment system screen to enable the welcome light function.

  • When activated, the exterior lights turn on for approximately 15 seconds.

Operating conditions

  • The lighting switch must be ON (AUTO position operates only at night).

  • All doors must be closed and locked. with the vehicle in OFF position

  • Press the door unlock button on the smart key or digital key.

Welcome light (room lamp)

When the welcome light function is enabled, the interior room lamps illuminate for approximately 30 seconds under the following conditions:

  • All doors (and tailgate) are closed and locked.

  • The touch sensor on the front outside door handle is touched.

  • The door unlock button on the smart key or digital key is pressed.

Dynamic welcome light

This feature dynamically illuminates the vehicle’s lights for a brief period when the driver unlocks the vehicle, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.

  • Select Settings > Vehicle > Lights > Headlight time-out on the infotainment system screen to enable or adjust dynamic welcome light function.

  • When activated, the dynamic welcome light turns on for approximately 2 seconds.

Operating conditions

  • The welcome light (exterior lights) operational conditions must be met.

Dynamic escort light

Operating conditions

This feature dynamically illuminates the vehicle’s lights for a short period after the driver turns off the vehicle with the headlamps ON, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.

  • Select Settings > Vehicle > Lights > Headlight time-out on the infotainment system screen to enable or adjust dynamic escort light function.

  • When activated, the dynamic escort light turns on after the headlamp escort function operating conditions are met.
