You cannot shift when the 12V battery is discharged.

In an emergency, follow the steps below to shift to N (Neutral) on level ground:

1. Connect battery cables from another vehicle or external battery to the jump starting terminals in the motor compartment.

   For more details, refer to Emergency starting.

2. With the vehicle in POWER ON position, release the parking brake.

3. Shift to N (Neutral).
