NSCC operation

Operating conditions

NSCC is ready to operate if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

  • SCC is operating

  • Driving on main roads or highways

NOTICE

NSCC display and control

When NSCC operates, it will be displayed on the cluster as follows:

NSCC standby

If the operating conditions are satisfied, the green () symbol will appear.

NSCC operating

If temporary deceleration is required in the standby state and NSCC is operating, the green () symbol will blink on the cluster.

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control temporarily canceling or driver intervention

If Smart Cruise Control is temporarily canceled or rerouted, etc., that cannot control, the gray () symbol will appear on the cluster.If the driver pressed the accelerator pedal, the white () symbol will blink on the cluster.

WARNING

The warning message will appear in the following circumstances:

  • NSCC is not able to slow down your vehicle to a safe speed

NOTICE
  • Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown and Highway Set Speed Auto Change function uses the same () symbol.

  • The images and colors in the instrument cluster may differ depending on the cluster type or theme selected from the settings menu.

Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown

  • Depending on the curve ahead on the highway (or motorway), the vehicle will decelerate, and after passing the curve, the vehicle will accelerate to SCC set speed.

NOTICE

Vehicle deceleration time may differ depending on the vehicle speed and the degree of the curve on the road. The higher the driving speed, deceleration will start faster.
