The air bag warning light in your instrument panel alerts you to a potential problem with your air bag system, which may include the side and/or curtain air bags used for rollover protection.

If the air bag warning light appears for more than 6 seconds after you turn the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON position, or if it appears during vehicle operation, an SRS component may not be functioning properly. Have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

If any of the following conditions occur, this indicates a malfunction in the air bag system. Have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

• The light does not turn on briefly when you turn the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON position.

• The light stays on after it illuminates for approximately 3–6 seconds.

• The light comes on while the vehicle is in motion.

• The light blinks when you turn the ENGINE START/STOP button to the ON position.
