Drive belts
Inspect all drive belts for evidence of cuts, cracks, excessive wear or oil saturation and replace if necessary. Drive belts should be checked periodically for proper tension and adjusted as necessary.

When you are inspecting the belt, place the start/stop button in the OFF or ACC position.

If the drive belt has been worn excessively or damaged in any way, you must replace the drive belt system with a new one.
In case the vehicle is driven without replacement, it could result in battery overheating or discharge. Also, the steering wheel may become more difficult to control.
