Selecting a Child Restraint System (CRS)
When selecting a Child Restraint System for your child, always:

A Child Restraint System may only be installed if it was approved in accordance with the requirements of ECE-R44 or ECE-R129.
-
Select a Child Restraint System based on your child’s height and weight. The required label or the instructions for use typically provide this information.
-
Select a Child Restraint System that fits the vehicle seating position where it will be used.
For the suitability of Child Restraint Systems on the vehicle's seating positions, please refer to More Details.
-
Read and comply with the warnings and instructions for installation and use provided with the Child Restraint System.
Installation on the rear seats

-
Before installing the child restraint system, read the instructions supplied by the child restraint system manufacturer.
-
Failure to observe this manual instructions regarding child restraint system and the instructions provided with the child restraint system could increase the chance and/or severity of injury in an accident.
-
If the child restraint seat is not anchored properly, the risk of a child being seriously injured or killed in a collision greatly increases.
Installing a Child Restraint System with a lap/shoulder belt
To install a Child Restraint System on the rear seats, do the following:
-
Place the Child Restraint System on a rear seat and route the lap/ shoulder belt around or through the Child Restraint System, following the Child Restraint System manufacturer’s instructions.
Make sure the seat belt webbing is not twisted.

-
Fasten the lap/shoulder belt latch into the buckle. Listen for the distinct “click” sound. Position the release button so that it is easy to access in case of an emergency.

-
Remove as much slack from the belt as possible by pushing down on the Child Restraint System while feeding the shoulder belt back into the retractor.

-
Push and pull on the Child Restraint System to confirm that the seat belt is holding it firmly in place.
If your CRS manufacturer instructs or recommends you to use a tether anchor with the lap/shoulder belt.
To remove the Child Restraint System, press the release button on the buckle and then pull the lap/shoulder belt out of the Child Restraint System and allow the seat belt to retract fully.
